There are two key Eid’s (Celebration Festivals) in Islam: Eid-ul-Fitr, which means the consummation of the Holy Month of Ramadan; and Eid-ul-Adha, the more prominent Eid, which follows the finish of the yearly Hajj journey, at the time of Qurbani (sacrifice). Despite the fact that Eid-ul-Adha has no immediate connection to the Hajj Pilgrimage, it is nevertheless a day after the finish of Hajj and hence has importance in time.
The day of Eid-ul-Adha falls on the 10th day in the last (twelfth) month of the Islamic Lunar Calendar; Dhu-al-Hijjah.
