Four Prophets of Islam who are still alive

Four Prophets of Islam who are still alive: In today’s article, we will discuss about four living prophets. Which are those four prophets who did not die? Millions of years ago, Allah created this universe. And then through Prophet Adam (A.S.), he laid the foundation of human life in this universe. In this way, Allah created many nations on this Earth. And sent many prophets to these nations. Different prophets came to each nation for their guidance. Up to 124,000 prophets were sent to this earth. Then Allah closed the door of prophethood on his beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Now no prophet will come to this world until the Day of Judgment. In this way, many prophets came to their nations at their time. And went back to the world. But there are four prophets who are still alive. And still, help people. And call them for guidance. Who are these four prophets? And why Allah has kept these prophets alive? And what are the reasons for their survival? Let’s discuss in this article who are the Four Prophets of Islam who are still alive.

In the light of different narrations and hadiths of the Prophet, we get the mention of the Four Prophets of Islam who are still alive. Who Allah has kept alive even today. How long will these four prophets live?

The Four Prophets of Islam who are still alive

Hazrat Isa (A.S.) (Jesus)

Jesus Christ: The Four Prophets of Islam who are still alive

The first of the Four Prophets of Islam who are still alive, is mentioned in the Quran. He is Hazrat Isa (A.S.) (Jesus Christ). When Hazrat Isa (A.S.) announced his prophethood, he gathered his people and told them that “I am a prophet sent by Allah. And I have been sent to give the truth.” But the nation to which Allah sent Hazrat Isa (A.S.), that nation was Jewish. It was written clearly in their books that Allah will send a prophet who will end the religion of the Jews. And because of this fear, the Jews planned to kill Hazrat Isa (A.S.). That if Hazrat Isa (A.S.) remains alive then he will end their religion. Therefore, Hazrat Isa (A.S.), according to the command of Allah, kept calling those Jews to the religion of truth. And he kept giving the religion of truth. But that unfortunate nation did not believe in him. And kept denying him. And kept taunting him. When Hazrat Isa (A.S.) was convinced that these people would not believe in anything he said, and would remain in this ignorance, than one day Hazrat Isa (A.S.) gathered all the Jews and called them “Who are you among the people who believe in the religion of Allah?”, And there were about twelve or nineteen people who accepted that “we believe in the oneness of Allah. And we accept your religion. You will be the means of our forgiveness.”

And apart from those fortunate people, there were all the people who did not accept the religion. And kept denying Hazrat Isa (A.S.). And kept their previous religion, that is Judaism. Therefore, when these few people believed in Hazrat Isa (A.S.) the Jews saw that if people kept believing in Hazrat Isa (A.S.) then their religion will end. Why not stop Hazrat Isa (A.S.) from giving the right invitation? And so all the Jews after a discussion, made a plan to kill Hazrat Isa (A.S.). Therefore, the Jews appointed a man named Pontius Pilate. That man came to kill Hazrat Isa (A.S.). When Pontius Pilate reached Hazrat Isa (A.S.) and was going with the intention of killing him today, then Allah commanded his angel “Go and bring Isa to heaven.” That angel followed the command of Allah, went to Hazrat Isa (A.S.), and brought Hazrat Isa (A.S.) to heaven. When he reached heaven, he met his mother, that is, Maryam (pbuh). At that time, his mother hugged him and loved him. And he told his mother that “Mother, now we will meet on the Day of Judgment.” When Jesus Christ was lifted to heaven, at that time he was 33 years old. And the Jews were waiting for the man, the man whom they had sent to kill Hazrat Isa (A.S.), that God knows when Pilate will come out after killing Hazrat Isa (A.S.). When it was too late, when the man did not return then all the Jews went to Hazrat Isa (A.S.)’s house to see what the matter is. They found a man whose face was like Jesus Christ. So they killed him. And after the killing, they saw that the face was like Jesus Christ. But this wasn’t the man they sent to be killed, he wasn’t Hazrat Isa (A.S.). Seeing this matter, all the Jews were worried. And divided into two groups. And all the Jews started fighting each other and in this fight, many Jews were killed. As Allah Almighty has said in Surah Nisa (Quran 4:157):

And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, the messenger of Allāh.” And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.

And Allah Almighty is certainly the one with wisdom. Allah Almighty raised Hazrat Isa (A.S.) to the heavens through his wisdom. In Hadith Nabwi, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said that Hazrat Isa (A.S.) will come to the Earth before the Day of Judgment. And will live his life according to the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Hazrat Isa (A.S.) will break the cross and finish the Dajjal. And Hazrat Isa (A.S.) will live in this world for seven years. He will make the religion of Allah Almighty common. He will be buried in the ground of Medina, in the tomb of Khazra. And those who believe that Hazrat Isa (A.S.) was killed or hanged on the cross, they are out of the circle of Islam. And they are disbelieving. Let’s talk about the second prophet who has been given life by Allah Almighty. He is Hazrat Khidr (A.S.).

Hazrat Khidr (A.S.)

Story of Al-Khidr and Musa

Hazrat Khidr (A.S.) will come to this world when the Dajjal will appear in this world. And the Dajjal will spread his mischief in this world and will make the people of the world stray away from the religion of Allah. At that time, Hazrat Khidr (A.S.) will call people to the religion of Allah. He will call people to the unity of Allah. He will call people to goodness. And he will tell people to do good deeds and to stop doing bad deeds. In another narration, it is said that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), he was telling the story of Hazrat Khidr (A.S.) to his companions. He said that Hazrat Khidr (A.S.)’s father was a king. He wanted to give him the kingdom. But Hazrat Khidr (A.S.) did not like the kingdom of the world. And he refused to take the kingdom of the world. He said to his father, “I do not want to take the kingdom of this world.” So he went to the jungles. And where no one could find him. And he was busy in worshiping Allah. he passed by a spring of life and he drank water from the spring. And he was able to live a long life. His long life is mentioned in many narrations.

Hazrat Anas (R.A.) has quoted a narration: When the beloved Prophet of Allah, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), passed away then a man from the whole congregation, came to Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH)’s body. And he read something. And then he left. And his companions asked him who was this man. no one from the congregation knew him. Then Hazrat Ali (PBUH) said, “I know this man. He is Hazrat Khidr (A.S.). Hazrat Khidr guides people in trouble and Hazrat Khidr (A.S.) guides people to live a long life. he is a very pious and merciful man. it is also mentioned in some narrations that Hazrat Khidr (A.S.) is mentioned with Hazrat Zulkarnain (pbuh). After Hazrat Isa (A.S.) and Hazrat Khidr(A.S.), the third living Prophet, who is mentioned in two places in the Quran, is Hazrat Ilyas (A.S.).

Hazrat Ilyas (A.S.)

It is mentioned in the Tafaseer, that Hazrat Ilyas (A.S.) was taken to the heavens on a heavenly horse. Hazrat Anas (R.A.) narrates this incident in a narration. And he says, “I and Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) were passing through a mountain. And I heard a voice passing by. That Allah Almighty make me a follower of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). After hearing this voice, Allah’s Prophet (SAW) commanded me, “O Anas, find out who this voice is.” Hazrat Anas narrates, “When I went inside the mountain, I saw a white-clad man, who was busy in worshiping Allah. And when that man saw me, he said, “O man, you are a companion of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW).” Hazrat Anas said, “Yes”, So that man said,”Send my greetings to Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). And tell Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), that Hazrat Ilyas (A.S.) wants to meet you.”And I came back to him. I presented the message of Hazrat Ilyas (A.S.) to the Prophet (SAW). And he took me with him. And we went to meet Hazrat Ilyas (A.S.). When we reached Hazrat Ilyas (A.S.), I stood a little far from him. So he and Hazrat Ilyas (A.S.) were talking for a long time. And during this time, food was sent to them from the sky. At that time, Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) called me to him. And we three ate together. When the food was finished, I saw that a white bird was coming down from the sky. And that bird came to Hazrat Ilyas. Hazrat Ilyas got on that bird and went to the sky.” Some scholars have written that Hazrat Ilyas (A.S.) and Hazrat Khidr (A.S.) come to the Holy House every Ramadan and fast there. And they also perform Hajj on the occasion of Hajj. And these two prophets help people in different places. Now let’s talk about the fourth prophet who is still alive. He is Hazrat Idrees (A.S.).

Hazrat Idrees (A.S.) is mentioned in many narrations. Allah Almighty says in Surah Maryam that he was a pious man and prophet, and Allah Almighty took Hazrat Idrees (A.S.) to heaven. On the Night Journey (Isra Miraj), on the fourth sky, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) met Hazrat Idrees (A.S.) and in some narrations, it is mentioned that Hazrat Idrees (A.S.) is busy in the journey of the Earth and in the remembrance of Allah. Hazrat Ibn Abbas says that Hazrat Idrees (A.S.) used to do a lot of work. Along with his work, he used to mention Allah. When the evening came, his good deeds would be unending.
