Saudi Arabia National Day 2023

Saudi Arabia National Day 2023 will be observed on Saturday, September 23, stated the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

This day is observed by both the private and public sectors.

Saudi National Day commemorates the merger of Hejaz and Najd into a single kingdom.

Theme and celebrations for Saudi National Day 2023

Saudi National Day will be celebrated in a number of ways, including fireworks, cultural performances, drone shows, and activities. The activities for this year’s celebrations began on Wednesday in Riyadh and other locations across the country and will continue until Sunday.

Additionally, military parades, a motorbike parade, and a weapons display will take place in key cities.

The theme for 2023 has been announced by Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority as “We dream and we achieve.” The topic was chosen to symbolise the kingdom’s significant success in recent years in all fields, as well as its future aspirations, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The 93rd National Day was given a logo inspired by a “painter’s brush, drawing Saudi Arabia’s borders to embrace the dream with determination and persistence.” According to SPA, the hues of the logo are inspired by the nation’s flag.

In 2005, the kingdom celebrated its first National Day. However, it is held on this day to commemorate the creation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932.

Abdulaziz Al Saud formed the current kingdom of Saudi Arabia on September 23, 1932, with Riyadh as its capital, Arabic as its national language, and the Quran as its constitution.

The Importance of Saudi Arabia in the Islamic World

The country of Saudi Arabia is home to the two holiest places for Muslims. Both the place of Prophet Muhammad’s birth, Makkah, and the town to which he migrated, Madinah, are located inside the kingdom. Because of their role as protectors of pilgrimage sites, the King of Saudi Arabia is sometimes known as the “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.”
